This Cookie Policy explains how VESSL AI KOREA Inc. and VESSL AI, Inc. (“VESSL”, “we”, “us”) use cookies and similar technologies on the VESSL websites and the VESSL Cloud service (together, the “Services”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data more generally.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. We also use related technologies such as pixels, tags, software development kits (SDKs), and local/session storage. In this policy we refer to all of these as “cookies”. Cookies may be first-party (set by VESSL) or third-party (set by a provider we use, such as an analytics or marketing partner). They may be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (which remain for a set period or until you delete them).

2. Categories of cookies we use

We group cookies into the four categories below. The cookies and similar technologies actually in use, including their provider, category, purpose, domain or host, and duration, are identified in our Cookie List and in the cookie preference tool made available on the applicable website. Where applicable law requires consent, VESSL does not set functional, performance, or targeting cookies until you have given consent through the applicable cookie banner or preference tool. Strictly necessary cookies may be used without consent where permitted because they are essential to provide, secure, or operate a service you have requested. Where consent is required by applicable law — including the EU ePrivacy rules, the UK privacy and electronic communications rules, and, in the Republic of Korea, the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and applicable guidance of the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) on online customized (behavioral) advertising — we rely on consent for non-essential cookies and similar technologies. We use strictly necessary technologies as permitted by applicable law to provide, secure, and operate the Services. Personal data collected through these technologies is processed on the legal bases described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Managing your cookies

  • Cookie banner / preference centre. Where VESSL uses non-essential cookies and consent or another choice is required by applicable law, you can accept or reject them through the banner or preference centre on the applicable website. You can later change or withdraw your choice at any time through the “Manage cookies” control on that website.
  • Global Privacy Control. Where your browser or extension sends a recognized GPC signal, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for non-essential cookies on that browser or device: the Functional, Performance, and Targeting categories stay off, and any earlier consent recorded for that browser is treated as withdrawn. If you afterwards turn a category on yourself, your explicit choice applies.
  • Browser settings. Most browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, Samsung Internet, Opera) let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking all cookies may prevent parts of the Services — particularly authenticated areas of VESSL Cloud — from working.
  • Provider opt-outs. Some third-party providers offer their own opt-outs, for example Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Each provider’s own cookie documentation and opt-out, where one exists, is linked in the Cookie List.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. California and Delaware Residents

If you are a resident of California or Delaware, this section provides additional information required under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and the Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act.
  • Online tracking. Through the Performance and Targeting cookies described in Section 2, third-party providers may collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites and online services operated by us and by other companies (“cross-context behavioral advertising”). The Functional cookies we use are set by VESSL on a single site and are not used for this purpose.
  • Sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. To the extent that VESSL’s use of Targeting technologies constitutes a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted-advertising processing under the CCPA or another applicable privacy law, you may opt out through the “Manage cookies” control or a recognized Global Privacy Control signal, both described in Section 4. See our Privacy Policy for further information about applicable privacy rights.
  • Interest-based advertising. Where we engage in interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”) participants, you may opt out via the DAA’s consumer choice page: https://optout.aboutads.info/.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on our website, and the “last updated” date above will be revised.
